New Communications Officers

The Long County Sheriff's Office is further benefiting the citizens of the county by hiring two night-time communications officers. This feature is currently being paid for by monies from the grant we received last year. We are still an understaffed agency and have to switch our phone lines over to Ludowici Dispatch after 6:00 PM each day. But when these two new Comm. Officers start work, that will soon become a thing of the past and callers will be able to contact the sheriff's office directly 24 hrs a day. Our department has already hired one of the Comm.
